Designed by Michel Duchêne – Brocade silk – Extremely rare commemorative piece
Offered here in mint condition, this Hermès “Feux d’Artifice” scarf is a special edition from 1987, created to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the House of Hermès. Designed by Michel Duchêne, this model is one of the very few scarves produced in brocade silk, a luxurious and complex weave that no longer exists today, reserved for the most prestigious pieces.
The motif features a horseman illuminating the night with fireworks, a tribute to a historical episode from the 19th century and a nod to the house’s festive spirit. The composition, rich in color, movement, and detail, makes this scarf an iconic piece, highly sought after by collectors.
Crafted from brocade silk twill and hand-rolled, this scarf combines textile virtuosity with spectacular aesthetics. An exceptional opportunity to acquire a commemorative model in mint condition—a state that has become extremely rare nearly forty years after its creation.
