Elegant and steeped in history, this sumptuous Hermès handkerchief, “Jeu des Omnibus et Dames Blanches,” is a creation by Robert Dumas, a member of the Hermès family and the designer of some of the House’s most iconic patterns. Inspired by an old 19th-century board game, this design features the famous horse-drawn omnibuses that crisscrossed Paris during the era of the “Dames Blanches.” In a circular composition of remarkable originality, horse-drawn carriages, passengers, and landscape elements converge toward a central scene evoking the refined world of bourgeois leisure of yesteryear.

This 1987 special edition captivates with its elegant cobalt blue border framing a luminous ivory background, subtly enlivened by shades of red, green, and ochre. This particularly harmonious color scheme highlights the design’s delicate finesse.
